Juicy New York Steak
There are so many great ways to cook a steak but this is one of our favorites. It’s simple and allows for the rich flavors of the steak to come through.
Ishawooa Mesa Ranch NY Steaks, defrosted at room temp and patted dry.
Salt, pepper, butter, rosemary, garlic
Preheat your oven to 500°F. Heat your favorite cast-iron over high heat until it’s smoking hot, 5ish minutes. Probably a good idea to turn your fan on. Salt and pepper both sides of your steaks. Place your steak in the smoking skillet for 2 minutes on each side and then turn it on its side to cook the fat strip for approx. 30 min. Now transfer your skillet to the hot oven (with a mitt!!) Roast the steak for 3-4 min for medium rare, 4-5 minutes for medium. Take your steak out of the oven and let rest on a plate with foil loosely covering. Melt some butter with a sprig of rosemary and garlic in a pan and pour overtop the steaks. Wallah! Enjoy!
